The American Girl Fashion Show®
is a fun-filled event for girls and their families, friends, and favorite dolls! Celebrate the experience of being a girl, whether yesterday or today, through a colorful presentation of historical and contemporary fashions. Enjoy elegant refreshments, enter to win door prizes, and learn how clothing has changed over the years to reflect history, culture, and girls’ individual styles.

Model Auditions for the American Girl Fashion Show
The American Girl Fashion Show is coming to Racine in November. We are seeking area girls to model the American Girl historical, contemporary and Bitty Baby fashions in this exciting event.
Who: Girls, 5 years old and up with confidence and sparkle!
          Models must fit girl's sizes 6X - 10.
When: September 11, 2011
Time: 3:00 pm - 5:00 pm
Place: Racine Marriott, 7111 Washington Ave. (Hwy 20) Racine, WI

Model Requirements

The model fee is $30. (A portion of fee will be used for administrative costs, remainder will be used to support Cops-N- Kids Reading Center.) Payment is due within two weeks after receiving notice of selection. Additional requirements are listed below.

• To be eligible, models must be girls who are a size 6X or a size 10. See the included American Girl Size Chart for measurements.
• Model application must include a current photograph of the child. Please write the child’s name and parents’ contact information on the back of the pictures. Photographs will not be returned.
• Selected models will be assigned to either – Saturday, November 12th (11 a.m. and 3:00 p.m.) or Sunday, November13th (11 am. and 3:00 p.m.).
• Models must be available for:
  • Orientation and fittings (September 11th from 3-5pm - come anytime in those 2 hours, Racine Marriot)
  • Dress rehearsal and photographs (November 9th and 10th at 5pm, Racine Marriot - models are only required to attend one.)
• Models must be able to be away from parents for three hours (one hour before the show and two hours during the performance) and feel comfortable walking a runway in front of 200 people.
• Models may be required to supply footwear and accessories depending on the costume.

Other Details

• There is no photography during the show; however, each model will have her picture taken by a professional photographer.
• American Girl dolls are diverse; therefore, we encourage girls of all races and cultures to apply.
• Parents are required to purchase tickets to see the show, including the show in which their daughter appears.
• Rehearsals will take approximately two hours so dress comfortably. Please feel free to bring homework and a snack.
